HOUSTON: LOUD AND CLEAR SEVEN - GO AHEAD.
S/C (BORMAN) A BOGEY AT TEN O'CLOCK HIGH.
HOUSTON THIS IS HOUSTON, SAY AGAIN SEVEN?
S/C (BORMAN) I SAID WE HAVE A BOGEY AT TEN O'CLOCK HIGH.
HOUSTON ROGER. GEMINI-7 ISTHAT THE BOOSTER OR IS THAT A NATURAL SIGHTING?
S/C A WHAT?
HOUSTON SAY AGAIN SEVEN.
S/C (BORMAN) WE HAVE DEBRIS UP HERE - THIS IS AN ACTUAL SIGHTING.
HOUSTON YOU HAVE ANY MORE INFORMATION - ESTIMATE DISTANCE OR SIZE?
S/C (BORMAN) WE ALSO HAVE THE BOOSTER IN SIGHT.
HOUSTON UNDERSTAND YOU ALSO HAVE THE BOOSTER IN SIGHT. ROGER.
S/C (BORMAN) WE HAVE VERY, VERY MANY A - IT LOOKS LIKE HUNDREDS OF LITTLE
PARTICLES GOING BY TO THE LEFT OUT ABOUT THREE OR FOUR MILES.
HOUSTON UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE MANY SMALL PARTICLES GOING BY ON THE LEFT AT WHAT
DISTANCE?
S/C (BORMAN) ....GARBLED ... FOUR MILES. OH, ABOUT - GARBLED - IT LOOKS LIKE A
PATH OF THE VEHICLE AT 90 DEGREES.
HOUSTON ROGER. UNDERSTAND THEY'RE ABOUT THREE OR FOUR MILES AWAY
S/C (BORMAN) THEY'VE PASSED NOW. THEY'RE GOING INTO POLAR ORBIT.
HOUSTON ROGER. UNDERSTAND THEY WERE THREE TO FOUR MILES AWAY.
S/C THATS WHAT IT APPEARED LIKE. THATS ROGER.
HOUSTON GEMINI-7 - HOUSTON - WERE THESE PARTICLES IN ADDITION TO THE BOOSTER AND
THE BOGEY AT TEN O'CLOCK HIGH?
S/C (LOVELL) ROGER. I HAVE THE BOOSTER ON MY SIDE.ITS A BRILLIANT BODY IN THE
SUN AGAINST A BLACK BACKGROUND WITH TRILLIONS OF PARTICLES ON IT.
HOUSTON ROGER WHAT DIRECTION IS IT FROM YOU?
S/C (LOVELL) ITS ABOUT AT MY TWO O'CLOCK POSITION.
HOUSTON DOES THAT MEAN ITS AHEAD OF YOU?
S/C (LOVELL) ITS AHEAD OF US AT TWO O'CLOCK, SLOWLY TUMBLING
HOUSTON ROGER.

P.A.O. THIS IS GEMINI CONTROL AGAIN THE REFERENCE IN THAT CONVERSATION TO THE
THIRD AND UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT OF COURSE WAS OR THE THIRD OBJECT WAS A [REDACTED]
BOGEY. THERE WERE SEVERAL REFERENCES TO THE BOGEY. AT 4 HRS 24 MIN INTO
THE FLIGHT THIS IS GEMINI CONTROL.

Since then we have dubbed the tape off "UFO SIGHTING BY BORMAN" (GT-7)
the master tape here in the Control Center and we are now prepared to play it for you. It contains references to sighting not only some particles but as well as an unidentified object and plus the booster here that tape we'll play it for you now -
S/C:- Gemini 7 here Houston - how do you read?
Houston:- loud & clear 7 go ahead.
S/C:- a bogey at 10 oclock high (Borman)
Houston:- this is houston say again seven?
S/C:- [HANDWRITTEN: Borman] I said we have a bogey at 10 oclock high.
Houston:- Roger. Gemini 7 is that the booster or is that a natural sighting?
S/C:- a what?
Houston:- Say again seven.
S/C:- [HANDWRITTEN: Borman] we have debris up here - this is an actual sighting
Houston:- you have any more information - Estimate distance or size?
S/C:- [HANDWRITTEN: Borman] We also have the booster in sight.
Houston:- Understand you also have the booster in sight. roger,
S/C:- [HANDWRITTEN: Borman] We have [REDACTED] [REDACTED] a - it looks like hundreds of a going little a particles going by [REDACTED] to the left out about 3 to 4 miles

Houston: [HANDWRITTEN: try on the left at what distance?]
S/C: [HANDWRITTEN: Borman] - garbled - 4 miles. It looks like a [HANDWRITTEN: [ILLEGIBLE]] vehicle [HANDWRITTEN: [ILLEGIBLE]] painted [HANDWRITTEN: [ILLEGIBLE]] or about - garbled - it looks like a path of the [ILLEGIBLE] at 90 degrees
Houston: Roger: understand they're about 3 to 4 miles away
S/C: [HANDWRITTEN: Borman] they passed now - they're going into [ILLEGIBLE]
Houston: Roger understand they were 3-4 miles away.
S/C: That's what it appeared like. That's roger.
Houston: Gemini-7-Houston - were these particles in addition to the booster and the bogey at 10 o'clock [HANDWRITTEN: high]
S/C: [HANDWRITTEN: Lovell]: Roger. I have the booster myself it's a brilliant body in the sun against a black background with trillions of particles on it.
Houston: Roger what direction is it from you
S/C: [HANDWRITTEN: Lovell] it's about at my 2 o'clock position.
Houston: Does that mean that it's ahead of you?
S/C: [HANDWRITTEN: Lovell] it's ahead of us at 2 o'clock slowly [HANDWRITTEN: [ILLEGIBLE]]
Houston: Roger.

A handwritten transcript note from Gemini Control regarding a sighting of a 'bogey' (unidentified object) by astronauts Frank Borman and Jim Lovell during the Gemini 7 mission.

PAO :- there were several references to the bogey this is the unidentified object in addition to the particles which appeared to be headed in a polar orbit you heard Frank Borman say plus Jim Lovell describe discussing the booster it was Borman who reported sighting the bogey - this is Gemini Control in Houston at 5 hrs 24 min into the flight.
